Workforce data show 17 vacant medical technologist positions, directly limiting the number of assays that can be run under standardized conditions.

Applicants must submit letters from the territorial epidemiologist confirming that biomarker data will feed into the Virgin Islands syndromic surveillance system. Budgets require line items for overtime compensation because cruise schedules create unpredictable daily specimen volumes. Proposals that omit these payments are returned without review.
